What It Is

A Walkthrough Organized by Location and Date.

Eagle captures immersive imagery through the areas included in the scope and organizes it in DroneDeploy. Each view is tied to a marked location on a floor plan, orthomosaic, or site map so users can move through the documented space.

On recurring assignments, users can return to the same area and select an available capture date to review how conditions changed over time.

Mapped Capture Points

Select a marked location to open the corresponding 360° view.

Capture History

Revisit the same work area across the available dates.

Authorized Sharing

Provide approved users access through the project workspace or shareable link.

360° PROJECT WALKTHROUGH

360-degree site documentation walkthrough of a fuel station canopy and fueling area.

Best-Fit Uses

Useful Before, During, and After Construction.

Preconstruction Baseline

Preserve accessible conditions before mobilization, demolition, or major work begins.

Recurring Progress Reviews

Revisit key work areas on an agreed schedule to document change over time.

Before Work Is Concealed

Preserve visible conditions before walls, ceilings, finishes, or other construction closes the area.

Owner & OAC Coordination

Give owners, architects, contractors, and consultants a shared reference for meetings, questions, and follow-up.

Closeout & Future Renovation

Retain a navigable history that can support turnover, maintenance, and later planning.

Internal Safety & Compliance Review

Provide dated context that may support an organization’s internal review of accessible conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Project Teams Ask About 360° Documentation.

What is 360° site documentation?

360° site documentation uses immersive, time-stamped imagery pinned to a floor plan, orthomosaic, or site map so authorized users can virtually walk a site and review conditions from a particular date. It is commonly used for construction documentation, owner updates, progress reviews, coordination, remote site access, preconstruction baselines, and visual records before work is concealed.

How is 360° site documentation different from 3D laser scanning?

360° documentation is primarily a visual record. It allows users to navigate a site remotely and compare conditions over time, but it is not intended to replace survey-grade measurement. Terrestrial laser scanning creates a dense measured point cloud for dimensional work, CAD, BIM, as-built documentation, and comparison with design information. Eagle Surveying recommends 360° capture for visual documentation and laser scanning when dimensional accuracy is required.
