Data Centers & Mission-Critical Facilities
Site data your schedule can build on.Data center development moves fast and tolerates little error. Eagle Surveying provides data center site surveys and Reality Capture services across Texas, supporting land acquisition, design, construction, facility documentation, and closeout. Survey-grade datasets are tied to established control under Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor oversight.

One survey partner from acquisition to closeout.
A data center program is rarely one deliverable. The required scope changes as the site moves through title work, civil design, entitlement, construction, and commissioning, while survey control stays consistent from phase to phase.
Acquisition & Due Diligence
- ALTA/NSPS transaction survey
- Title and easement depiction
- Terrain data for site evaluation

- Classified LiDAR point cloud
- Terrain model, contours, and breaklines
Construction
- Construction control and layout records
- Mobilizations and plan revisions coordinated with the contractor
Progress & Earthwork
- Progress orthomosaics by flight date
- Visual records organized by date or phase
- Cut, fill, and net volume figures
Facility Documentation & Closeout
- Registered facility point cloud
- CAD and BIM-compatible data when included in scope
- Final as-built drawings
Built for security-conscious, schedule-driven sites.
A mission-critical site carries requirements a typical commercial job does not: procurement rules that reach the aircraft, controlled access, restricted airspace, and a construction schedule that will not pause for a field crew. Eagle settles those questions before mobilizing rather than at the gate.

Current work across North and Central Texas.
Eagle's data center work includes large-tract terrain mapping, facility laser scanning, progress documentation, volumetrics, platting, and construction surveying. The examples below reflect Eagle's scope on each site.
Elm Mott Data Center
Aerial LiDAR Mapping of a 522-acre development site produced a classified point cloud and terrain data for the design team. Platting and Construction Staking are planned as the site advances.
Dallas Data Center
Terrestrial Laser Scanning supported plate-elevation documentation tied to the site's survey control, with aerial orthomosaic coverage provided through DroneDeploy.
Hubbard Data Center
Recurring Construction Progress Monitoring and Documentation with volumetric analysis provides a consistent record across active earthwork and construction phases.
Data Center Survey & Reality Capture FAQs
Common questions about survey control, site design, construction documentation, facility scanning, UAS requirements, and data center work across Texas.
Data center development may require an ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey, Topographic Survey, Aerial LiDAR Mapping, Platting Services, Easement Exhibits & Legal Descriptions, Construction Staking, Construction Progress Monitoring and Documentation, Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS), and an As-Built Survey. The required services depend on the project phase, site conditions, design needs, and construction schedule.
Survey control should generally be established as early as practical. A consistent horizontal and vertical control framework gives later topographic mapping, construction layout, Reality Capture, and as-built work a common reference. On phased or multi-building developments, that continuity also helps different project teams work from coordinated site information as construction advances.
Design teams commonly need boundary and title information, existing elevations, drainage features, utilities, access, pavement, structures, easements, and terrain data. For large or vegetated tracts, Aerial LiDAR Mapping can provide dense terrain information, classified point clouds, digital terrain models, contours, and breaklines tied to established survey control.
Recurring aerial capture creates date-based visual records of grading, access roads, laydown areas, utilities, building progress, and changing site conditions. When included in the project scope, Eagle can organize imagery and comparisons in DroneDeploy so owners, contractors, engineers, and remote stakeholders can review current conditions throughout the construction schedule.
Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) is useful when teams need detailed existing-condition data for structural steel, floors, walls, equipment areas, corridors, and congested MEP spaces. Registered point clouds can support coordination, renovation planning, scan-to-CAD or scan-to-BIM workflows, and facility documentation where conventional manual measurement may be less practical.
Yes. Eagle reviews site access, airspace, project security, procurement, platform, and deliverable requirements before mobilization. When project requirements call for them, Eagle can deploy qualifying NDAA Compliant | Blue UAS Approved aircraft and sensor configurations as part of the approved project plan.
Eagle provides licensed surveying for data center projects throughout Texas, with teams based in Denton and Waco supporting the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, North Texas, Central Texas, and statewide assignments. Eagle can also support select Reality Capture assignments nationwide depending on project scope, schedule, access, and mobilization requirements.
